KHOROG, January 22, Asia-Plus -- On January 17, chairman of the Darvoz districts in Gorno Badakhshan, Saidjon Nosirov died aged 52 after a short illness, according to the GBAO administration,
Saidjon Nosirov graduated from Tajik Agriculture Institute in 1976 and Russia’s Civil Servants’ Training Academy in 1992. In 1992-1996, Nosirov served as Deputy GBAO Representative to the Tajik Government. In 1996-2005, he served as 2nd, 1st Secretary, Tajik Embassy in Turkmenistan as well as worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and President’s executive Office.
Saidjon Nosirov had served as chairman of the Darvoz district since March 4, 2005.
