DUSHANBE, February 22, Asia-Plus - A board of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) has recommended 21 laws adopted in December 2006 – February, 2007 for consideration at the ninth session of the Majlisi Milli that will be held in Dushanbe today.
A meeting of the Majlisi Milli board presided by its speaker Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev was held on February 21.
The board considered a new code on administrative procedure and the adopted laws on public service, natural monopolies, trademarks, joint-stock companies and others, as well as amendments to a number of present laws. All these laws were recommended for consideration at the ninth session.
Members of the Majlisi Milli board also recommended for consideration at the session proposals of the head of state on election and recall of a number of officials of the Supreme Court and Higher Economic Court of Tajikistan.
