DUSHANBE, March 22, Asia-Plus -- State and expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed at a March 19 meeting of Alimamad Nioyzmamadov, Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) with Bogdan Borusevic, the Chairman of the Senate of Poland, at the Dushanbe airport.
Bogdan Borusevic made a stopover in Dushanbe on his way to Australia.
The source at the Majlisi Milli said that the two considered issues related to cooperation between upper houses of the two parliaments and exchanged views on ways to expand cooperation of Tajikistan with Europarliament and member nations of the European Union. “They pointed to the necessity of combining efforts in the fight against international terrorism, transnational drug-business and organized crime,” the source said.
