DUSHANBE, April 13, Asia-Plus -- The government has sent the draft Civil-Procedural Code and the draft Code for Economic Legal Proceeding for consideration the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament), Zarif Aliyev, State Adviser to the President for Legal Matters, told a news conference in Dushanbe on April 13.

The news conference was given to report on the results of work of Tajikistan’s Higher Economic Court in the first three months of the year.

According to him, the first discussion of a new edition of the Civil-Procedural Code will be held at the Majlisi Namoyandagon next week.

“New editions of the mentioned codes projected by the government are more democratic and offer physical and juridical entities alternate organ of the resolution of disputes,” said Aliyev. ”As alternative, the law on arbitration courts has been drafted; this bill is currently considered by all committees of the Majlisi Namoyandagon.”

Aliyev added that the bill requiring the establishment of the arbitration courts gives entities the right of using non-government judicial organ [arbitration court] for the resolution of disputes.
