DUSHANBE, April 23, Asia-Plus - On Saturday April 21, Dushanbe marked a Capital City Day.
On this occasion, the construction of a number social facilities officially commenced in the Tajik capital on April 21.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that the facilities include a park on the Nurullo Huvaidulloyev Street, an orchard in the settlement of Mizrobek (eastern part of Dushanbe), two 9-story and 12 5-story residential buildings in microrayon 82.
The spokesman said that local construction company Na-Na will construct the mentioned residential buildings. “The first four 5-story residential buildings are scheduled to have been finished by the next Capital City Day, which is marked in Tajikistan on the third Saturday of April,” Saidov said.
Besides, various cultural activities to mark the Capital City Day were organized in all microrayons of Dushanbe.
