DUSHANBE, April 30, Asia-Plus - Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev on April 26 passed a resolution on providing 2,816 somonis to pay subsidies to female veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 for traveling by vehicle, which do not belong to public transport, on preferential terms.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that under this resolution, female veterans of war living in Dushanbe may travel by vehicles, which do not belong to public transport, taxi and private fixed-route taxi for example, 10 times a month on preferential terms starting from May 1. The mayor’s office pays 50 percent of fare, according to him.
The resolution is in effect through December this year, the spokesman said.
44 female veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 currently live in Dushanbe.
