DUSHANBE, September 4, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon yesterday signed a resolution unilaterally revoking the agreement on long-term cooperation between the government of Tajikistan and Russia’s Rusal aluminum.
According to presidential press service, the ministries of economic development and trade, energy and communications jointly with relevant ministries and organizations are to take necessary measures to implement the resolution.
The ministry of foreign affairs is to formally notify the Russian side of the resolution content.
The government also issued a resolution on setting up joint stock-company (OJSC) Roghun HPS (hydroelectric power station) to finish the construction of the Roghun HPS.
