DUSHANBE, September 11, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon today morning left for the city of Tursunzoda, central Tajikistan, for a short visit.
According to presidential press service, during his stay in Tursunzoda, President Rahmon is expected to participate in an inauguration of a new school and a number of facilities that were built in the city on occasion of the 16th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence.
Besides, the head of state is also supposed to familiarize him with measures taken by local authorities to ensure the regular work of the district’s economy during autumn-winter 2007-2008 and preparations the population is making for winter.
