DUSHANBE, November 1, Asia-Plus -- The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a bill on the draft national budget for 2008 at a November 1 meeting presided over by its speaker Saydullo Khairulloyev.
During the meeting it was noted that a special commission, consisting of deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon and representatives from the government and relevant ministries had been set up for thoroughly considering the budget bill.
All committees and commissions of the Majlisi Namoyandagon have considered the budget bill and made their suggestions to improve it. Many of those suggestions have been accepted by the government.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered amendments to the law on road traffic as well as the criminal-procedural code.
Some of these issues will be considered at one of regular sittings of the fourth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon.
