KHUJAND, November 14, Asia-Plus -- A three-day working visit of President Emomali Rahmon to the Sughd province started today morning with a meeting with the public of city of Chkalovsk.    

After that, the head of state will participate in reopening of the Culture Place Abreshim in Khujand.  2.6 million somonis have been provided from the Sughd regional budget for renovation of the culture palace.  

President Rahmon is also expected to attend inauguration of a new cardiologic center in Khujand and a new cement plant in the Chorukdaron settlement subordinate to the city of Qairoqqum.  The plant is capable to produce 100,000 tons of cement per year.  

The president will also inaugurate a green house in the Bobojonghafurov district and boarding school in Khujand.  

As it had been reported earlier, the main purpose of the visit is for the president to participate in ceremonial events dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the 16th session of Tajikistan’s Supreme Council (Shuroi Oli) of the 12th convocation that was held in Sughd on November 16, 1992.
