DUSHANBE, December 10, Asia-Plus --The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a mortgage bill at a December 10 meeting presided over by its speaker Saydullo Khairulloyev.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered bills on arbitrations, status of teachers, national security bodies, fire safety as well as amendments to the laws on border guards and inspection of economic entities, as well as the administrative, water and tax codes.
The board also considered the government-to-governments agreements between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan on avoiding double taxation and aerial communication, as well as discussed issues related to enhancement of a national program of external borrowings for 2008-2010.
Some of these issues will be considered at the regular sitting of the fourth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the third convocation on December 12, Sultonov said.
