DUSHANBE, February 5, Asia-Plus --The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a bill on fire safety at a February 4 meeting presided over by its speaker Saydullo Khairulloyev.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered amendments to the laws on the national budget for 2008 and the self-government institutions in settlements and villages, as well as bills on the board of treasury and state protection of victims, witnesses and other participants in criminal proceedings.
The board also discussed the UN Convention against Corruption.
Some of these issues will be considered at the regular sitting of the fourth of the Majlisi Namoyandagon on February 13, Sultonov said.
