DUSHANBE, March 17, Asia-Plus -- On Monday March 17, President Emomali Rahmon met with visiting Saudi Prince Al-Walid ibn Talal Abd al-Aziz Al Saud, presidential press service said.
In the course of the talks, the two discussed a broad range of issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia.
President Rahmon, in particular, noted that Tajikistan attaches significance to expansion of friendly relations with all Arabic states as whole and Saudi Arabia in particular.
Positively assessing the level and quality of developing relationships of Tajikistan with Arab and other Muslim states, President Rahmon and Prince Al-Walid ibn Talal exchanged views on ways and means to expand economic cooperation.
Prince Al-Walid ibn Talal showed interest in investment projects in Tajikistan and expressed readiness to participate in funding them, according to presidential press service.
Both sides vowed to boost regional trade-economic and scientific-cultural cooperation.
