DUSHANBE, April 3, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon yesterday had telephone conversations with a number of Tajik officials on a progress of implementation of his instructions on speeding up sowing campaign and increase of the volume of production of domestic goods.
President’s phone conversations with Murodali Alimardonov, Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of the Economy, and Sirojiddin Valiyev, Chairman of Tojikmatlubot (Tajik consumers’ cooperation), in particular focused on rise in prices of some basic food products on the markets. The head of state pointed to the necessity to taking measures to effectively use lands and fill markets with local goods.
Rahmon also urged to take adequate measures to prevent artificial rise of market prices.
The same day, Rahmon had telephone conversations with the Khatlon governor Ghaybullo Avzalov and heads of a number of districts in Khatlon and Rasht valley. The talks focused on a progress of sowing campaign as well as implementation of project aimed at enhancing production of cereals and developing gardening in the country.
