DUSHANBE, April 5, Asia-Plus -- The Dushanbe mayor’s office is ready to purchase 116 buses LiAZ from Russia, Asia-Plus has learned from Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor.
According to him, Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev announced this at a meeting with Sergey Zanuzin, Chairman of the Board of Limited Liability Company “Russkiye Avtobusy” (Russian Buses) that was held in Moscow on April 1.
The same day, the Dushanbe mayor also visited the Moscow pilot electro-mechanical plant and the Tushino automobile plant.
During the meetings, it was noted that Russian companies may participate in open tenders announced by the Dushanbe mayor’s office for purchase of transportation and that Russian specialists will participate in rehabilitating busses and trolleybuses in the Tajik capital, the spokesman said.
