DUSHANBE, April 28, Asia-Plus -- On Saturday April 26, President Emomai Rahmon held a meeting of heads of power-wielding and law enforcement agencies to discuss efforts to combat drug trafficking and organized crime, according to presidential press service.         

            During the meeting, the head of state set specific tasks on strengthening pubic order, preventing crime and fostering citizens.  Rahmon charged senior police and security officials to work out plans of concrete events to explain main provisions of his appeal to a joint session of parliament to and ensure implementation of the appeal’s assignments, presidential press service said.

             The meeting also discussed issues related to celebration of the 63rd anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.  The president noted at the meeting that heads of the mentioned agencies should take care of veterans of war and labor.
