DUSHANBE, June 20, Asia-Plus -- Parliamentarians have considered and endorsed amendments to the laws on legal regime of the state of emergency, elections to the Majlisi Oli (Tajik parliament), air code, microfinance organizations, joint-stock companies, and limited liability companies requiring introduction of new rated indices of minimum capital requirements for limited liability companies, joint-stock companies and microfinance organizations as well as registration fees for parliamentary candidates.
A regular sitting of the fourth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) of the third convocation, presided over by its speaker, Saydullo Khairulloyev, was held on June 20.
Presenting the bills requiring amendments to the laws on joint-stock companies and limited liability companies, the member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Economics, Budget, Finance and Taxes, Mubinjon Qayumov, noted that the minimum capital requirements for the limited liability companies are set at 400 minimum monthly wages.
“At present, it is 8,000 somonis, but with increasing the minimum wage from 20 to 60 somonis starting from July 1 the minimum capital requirements will be 24,000 somonis, which is quite a large amount,” Qayumov said.
Ms. Gulchehra Bazarova, the chairperson of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Economics, Budget, Finance and Taxes, noted that the law on the national budget for 2008 set the mentioned rated index at 25 somonis. “This year, all calculations will be made on the basis of this amount,” said Bazarova. “The law on the national budget will set a certain rated index for certain year. Next year, the rated index may be set, for example, at 50 somonis or 10 somonis.”
As far as the registration fee for parliamentary candidates is concerned, we will recall that the present parliamentary election code requires candidates to pay a registration fee in an amount equivalent to 200 minimum monthly wages.
In all, 37 issues were tabled to the agenda of today’s session.
