As part of his working trip to the northern Sughd province, President Emomali Rahmon today visited the city of Buston (formerly Chkalovsk), according to the Tajik president’s official website.

While in Buston, the head of state reportedly attended an official opening ceremony of a 48-meter flagpole hoisting Tajik national flag measuring 14 meters by 7 meters.

The flagpole was built in the center of Buston two months prior to president’s visit to the city.

Recall, a 50-meter flagpole hoisting the country’s three-color flag, measuring 14 meters by 7 meters was officially opened in Jabbor-Rasoulov district on October 22.
