President Emomali Rahmon has signed a series of decrees appointing new ambassadors of Tajikistan to several foreign countries. The relevant documents were published on the official website of the head of state.
By president’s decrees signed on May 12:
- Zohir Ozod Saidzoda, Tajikistan’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, has also been appointed Ambassador to of Tajikistan the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on a concurrent basis.
- Luqmon Bobokalonzoda, currently heading the Tajik diplomatic mission in India, will also represent Tajikistan in the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.
- Muzaffar Mahmurod Hussein-zoda, who serves as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, is now additionally appointed as Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The appointments were made in accordance with Article 69 of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Tajik president’s official website noted.
In accordance with Article 69 of the country’s Constitution, the President shall appoint and relieve the heads of diplomatic representations in foreign States and representatives of the country to international organizations.
