An official opening ceremony of the first education center “Ya” (Russian personal pronoun for “I”) took place in Dushanbe on July 6.

The Center reportedly aims to advances women’s leadership skills.  The Center Director, Ms. Tahmina Shematova, says the main objective of the project is in intensively training women in entrepreneurship through exchange of experience and provision of knowledge and skills.

“We are ready to provide woman a platform and important tools so that they could create and run their businesses,” Ms. Shermatova noted.


The Center opening ceremony was attended by the partners for the project, including Mr. Azel Agaoglu, General Manager at Coca-Cola İçecek Tajikistan.

He was reportedly awarded the title of Ambassador of Women’s Leadership and Entrepreneurship. 

The Center, which aims to advance women’s leadership skills, today opened its doors to the first ten students doing small business.
