By the decision of the President of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Rustam Emomali, the head of the department of national teams of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, 31-year-old Ulugbek Karimov was appointed the new Secretary General of CAFA.

In this post, Ulugbek Karimov replaced a specialist from Uzbekistan Sandjar Rizaev, who moved to work in the Asian Football Confederation. Karimov has been working in the structure of the Football Federation of Tajikistan since 2013, the official website of the Football Federation of Tajikistan reports.

The Central Asian Football Association, which was founded in June 2014, is one of the five zones of the Asian Football Confederation.
