Days of Uzbekistan Culture are expected to take place in Tajikistan from November 11 to November 15.  While in Tajikistan, Uzbek artistes will meet with their Tajik colleagues and residents of Dushanbe and Danghara (Khatlon province).

More than 50 cultural figures and masters of art from Tashkent are expected to arrive in Dushanbe, an  official source within the Tajik government told Asia-Plus.

According to him, an official opening of the Days will take place at the Opera and Ballet Theater in Dushanbe on November 12.

On November 13, Uzbek artistes will give a concert in the Danghara district of Khatlon province and communicate to their colleagues there, the source said.

Recall, Tajikistan held a five-day celebration of culture from neighboring Uzbekistan in May 2017, which was a sign of warming ties between the two countries.  The Uzbekistan Culture Days that took place in Dushanbe from May 9 to May 12 of May 2017 was the first such an event since Tajikistan and Uzbekistan gained independence in 1991.
