All soldiers of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan and cadets of military school will receive New Year’s gifts on behalf of President Emomali Rahmon
In military subunits of the Ministry of Defense alone, more than 20,000 soldiers will receive presidential New Year’s gifts.
Presidential New Year’s gifts will also be given to border guards, soldiers of the National Guard, Internal Troops of the Interior Ministry, Civil Defense Troops of the Emergencies Committee and convoy units of the Ministry of Justice.
A New Year’s gift bag on behalf of the president reportedly includes sweeties, fruits, soft drinks and canned goods.
A special commission, set up by order of the Minister of Defense, must complete the delivery of presidential New Year’s gifts to military units deployed in all regions of the country until December 30.
Besides, holiday tables, concerts and other cultural activities will be organized for soldiers and officers in all military subunits across the country.
