Drivers of public transport in Dushanbe are advised to use face masks amid coronavirus concerns.
The State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Dushanbenaqliyotkhadamotrason (Dushanbe Public Transport Service) has recommended that public transport drivers use face masks while working.
Dushanbenaqliyotkhadamotrason Director Jumakhon Davlatov says such a decision has been made “to ensure safety of drivers.”
“During work, drivers communicate with passengers, among whom there may be people with flu or any other infectious disease. The decision has also been made to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19,” Davlatov said.
According to him, all the public transport is treated with chlorine solution “every morning, before the start of the shift.”
