Taking into consideration the hard situation of Tajik labor migrants working in the Russian situation, who rely on their jobs there to feed families, The Kommertzbank of Tajikistan has launched program to help migrants’ families overcome challenges.

The Kommertzbank press center says the program reportedly consists of several stages.

The first stage provides for postponing the payment of loans for customers, whose largest source of income are remittances.  It means that they can be given a three-month loan recess.  During this period, the customer is exempted from paying interest on principal. In this case, it is important to note that no further interest will be charged.

The second stage of the program provides for providing a 3,000 somoni loan for payment of basic food products (wheat flour, vegetable oil, cereals) and medicines.  Moreover, migrants’ families will be given a grace period without interest with zero commission.

Headquartered in Dushanbe, The Kommertzbank of Tajikistan was established in October 2017.  The bank reportedly provides a full range of banking services through its nationwide network, which covers many cities and districts of Tajikistan.
