Online trainings “What Is Important to Know about Bullying” will be launched in Tajikistan on June 20 and they will last for three months.  The trainings will be launched by teens.

The training is reportedly organized by finalists of the “Peshsaf” (Upshift) program, who have been implementing their social project Anti-Bullying Club to prevent child bullying in school for already half a year.

Peshsaf (Upshift) program contributes to the global partnership on youth empowerment Generation Unlimited by helping young people in Tajikistan develop skills for the future of work.  The Government of Tajikistan acknowledged the successes achieved within the Peshsaf program and calls for its expansion to provide skills development opportunities to more adolescents across the country.

At the end of online trainings a specially invited guest psychologist Firouza Mirzoyeva, who has considerable experience of work in this sphere, will speak to an audience.

Bullying can cause a person a great deal of harm.  Anti-bullying measures can help to combat bullying.

Anti-bullying refers to laws, policies, organizations, and movements aimed at stopping or preventing bullying.  Bullying is a situation where a person, called a bully, verbally or physically threatens or assaults a person, causing the person to feel a real or perceived power imbalance.  Bullying can cause a person to feel extreme distress.  It may lead to changes in sleep and dietary habits.  It can even put someone at greater risk for committing suicide. That is why it's so important to prevent bullying.
