Famous Tajik philosopher, head of the Institute of Philosophy of the country's Academy of Sciences, professor Muhammadkul Khazratkulov passed away today.

According to Khazratkulov's colleagues, he recently suffered from pneumonia. The Department of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic and the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Law called the death of the professor "a great loss".

Muhammadkul Khazratkulov was born on November 5, 1944 in Istaravshan. Graduate of the Persian Department of the Faculty of History and Philology of the National University of the country and postgraduate studies of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.

In 1969-1972 he worked as a translator in Iran, in 1974 he defended his Ph.D. In 1980-1990 he was the head of the editorial board of philosophy and law, later the head of the editorial board of scientific and artistic control of the Tajik Soviet Encyclopedia. In 1991 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Philosophy of Shahobuddin Suhravardi”.

Since 1996 he worked at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Law of the Academy of Sciences.
