Uzbekistan is expected to finance the construction of reception center for COVID-19 patients in Qubodiyon district, Khatlon province, a source within the Tajik government told Asia-Plus in an interview.
The reception center will be built at the health facility that is being constructed there by Uzbekistan.
The construction of the health facility is financed by Uzbekneftegaz (state-owned holding company of Uzbekistan's oil and gas industry).
The construction of the health facility began in Qubodiyon in the second half of 2018 and it is expected to be commissioned by this spring.
The reception center will be provided with the state-of-the-art equipment that will allow to detect the presence of a coronavirus infection in a person in the shortest possible time and then to send a patient for treatment to hospitals in Khatlon province or to a hospital in Dushanbe.
