The Khujand Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision urges residents of the city to wear face masks though the epidemiological situation in the city is under the strict control of specialists, says sughdNEWS online news agency.

The Center employees reportedly carry out regular explanatory conversations with Khujand residents in order to prevent a new wave of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the city.

A statement released by the Khujand Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision, in particular, notes that the city residents do not fulfill the requirements and recommendations aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus.

“Unfortunately, residents do not wear face masks in public places and public transport that can lead to new infections,” Mamour Yusufov, a spokesman for the Khujand mayor’s office, said.
