New York Post (NYP) reported on June 9 that according to a leaked memo obtained by NYP, border Patrol agents in California have been told to release migrants from over 100 countries into the United States, despite the Biden administration’s new border ‘crackdown’.

Migrants from all but six countries in what border patrol calls the ‘eastern hemisphere’ – made up of Africa, Asia, Australia, and Europe – who cross illegally into the San Diego border sector will be released into the US according to the memo, first reported by the Washington Examiner.

According to NYP, only adult migrants from Georgia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan will be immediately sent for removal from the US, per the memo.

Others will be released with a future court date but won’t be able to pursue asylum, according to Fox News.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) also confirmed to Fox the order only applies to the San Diego sector, which is currently the busiest area for illegal crossings in the United States and has seen the majority of people arriving from countries outside of the Americas.

As it had been reported earlier, 3,000 Tajiks illegally crossed into the United States last year.  Daily Mail reported on February 29 that Republican Senator` Steve Daines is ominously warning about a growing network of terrorists entering the U.S. through the southern border that could be plotting an attack on American soil.

A top Grand Old Party (Grand Old Party, or GOP, is a nickname for the Republican Party) senator Steve Daines reportedly told reporters at a press conference on February 27 that a 'high-level individual' warned him that over 50,000 Central Asians crossed illegally into the United States last year.

That same individual from Central Asia, Daines said, also expressed concern about a possible terror attack within the U.S., as the migrants could be a 'part of sleeper cells for a possible terror attack on American soil.'

According to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), a non-profit that tracks asylum court hearings, at least 40,000 Central Asian nationals are currently awaiting U.S. asylum court proceedings,

Of those Central Asian nationals 17,000 are from Uzbekistan, 7,000 are from Kyrgyzstan, 3,000 are from Tajikistan, 2,700 are from Kazakhstan and 2,000 from Turkmenistan.

Federal data reportedly shows that over 7.3 million migrants have crossed into the United States illegally since Biden took office in 2021.
