A truck overturned in southern Iran early on Thursday, killing at least 30 immigrants from Afghanistan and wounding 83 others, the Fars news agency reported.
The accident occurred at about 1 a.m. local time (20:30 GMT) on Thursday in the southern province of Fars. The truck was carrying 125 illegal Afghan immigrants, the agency said.
The injured have been taken to hospitals in Shiraz, the province''s capital. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
