Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov praised the results of the recent G-20 summit in London.
The resolutions of the G-20 summit meet Russia’s interests, Lavrov said at Monday’s session of the International Council for Cooperation and Investments.
“In London we succeeded in reaching concrete agreements that met Russia’s interests,” the Russian minister stressed.
The G-20 summit in London proves the relevancy of Russian proposals to resolve the global economic crisis, he said.
Lavrov said the ministry was actively working on measures to overcome the effects of the global economic crisis. “The current session is being held in the difficult economic situation amid the global economic crisis. Under the Russian foreign policy concept, the ministry’s activity is aimed at strengthening Russia’s economic security. Thus, we’re actively working on measures to overcome the effects of the global economic crisis.”

“The ministry is actively working to create comfortable conditions for foreign businessmen in our country and involve new investments,” Lavrov said. “Among key functions of diplomatic support for business abroad are to inform businessmen in the world about the social and economic situation in Russia,” he added.
