Iranian media reports reported on January 9 that Mr. Jürgen Stock, Secretary General of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), has condemned the January 3 terrorist attacks on the southern Iranian city of Kerman, describing the incident as cruel.

Jürgen assured Iran’s Police Chief Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Radan in a condolences message over the sad event, IRNA reported on Tuesday.
In his message, the Interpol chief reportedly expressed sympathy with the Iranian Police and the families of the victims and condemned the cruel attack which led to killing and injuring many innocent people.
Iran Press (IP) says twin suicide attacks occurred in Kerman on January 3, 2024, killing some 91 people and wounding 284 others.
A day later, the Daesh (the Arabic acronym for the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, or ISIL) terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attacks that targeted people who were on their way to visit the grave of Martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani four years after he was assassinated in a US drone strike in the Iraq’s capital, Baghdad.
