DUSHANBE, July 20, 2012, Asia-Plus -- On Thursday July 19, Principal Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, Homidullokhon Fakerov, met here with Mr. Marian Przezdziecki, Ambassador of Poland to Tajikistan with residence in Tashkent, the press center of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MoEDT) reports.
In the course of the talks, the two reportedly discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Poland. The sides assessed positively the current level of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Przezdziecki, in particular, noted that Poland was ready to assist Tajikistan with implementation of economic development projects, the source said.
According to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan, trade between Tajikistan and Poland last year amounted to some 2 million U.S. dollars while over the first six months of this year alone, it has already exceeded 6.6 million U.S. dollars.
