DUSHANBE, April 29, 2013, Asia-Plus – On Friday April 26, President Emomali Rahmon held a working meeting to review the results of work carried out over the first three months of this year.
In a report released at the meeting, Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Sharif Rahimzoda, noted that the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) over the first quarter of this year has reached 6.7 billion somoni, 7.3 percent more than over the same period last year. Population’s real incomes reportedly rose 19.8 percent in a year to Aril 1, 2013.
Minister of Finance, Safarali Najmididnov, noted that the revenue part of the national budget over the first three months of this year has been over-fulfilled by 1.6 percent. In January-March 2013, the performance of the revenue part of the budget has come to 2.5 billion somoni, which was 550 million somoni more than in the same period last year, the minister said.
Five grant and loan agreements for total amount of 360 million somoni and six other agreements for a total amount of 500 million somoni have been signed over the same three-month period.
Minister of Energy and Industries, Gul Sherali, said that Tajikistan has produced a total of 2.3 billion somoni worth of industrial goods over the report period. 79 new industrial enterprises have been introduced into operation in January-March 2013.
Deputy Prime Minister, Murodali Alimardon, governors of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), Khatlon and Sughd, as well mayor of Dushanbe and chairpersons of other cities and districts reported on socioeconomic development indicators.
