DUSHANBE, May 10, 2013, Asia-Plus -- According to the Kyrgyz MFA, a number of draft agreement worked out by a Tajik-Kyrgyz joint working group (JWG) will be signed during an official visit of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to Kyrgyzstan that is scheduled for may 27-28 this year.
The JWG that met in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan last week also considered issues that have been tabled to the agenda of the 12th session of the Tajik-Kyrgyz commission for trade and economic cooperation that will take place in Dushanbe from May 16-17 this year.
Meanwhile, an official source at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT) says President Rahmon is scheduled to pay visits to a number of countries in the near future and Kyrgyzstan is one of them.
“The 12th session of the Tajik-Kyrgyz commission for trade and economic cooperation that will take place in Dushanbe next week is expected to consider more than eight issues related to border cooperation, cross-border trade, culture, science and training of personnel,” the source said.
