DUSHANBE, August 31, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The 22-year-old Jamshed Mirzoyev has been detained on suspicion of having killed Nasima S., whose body was found in the Dushanbe River on August 23, according to the Ministry of Interior.
“The detainee confessed to the murder. Investigation has established that being in a state of drunkenness, Mirzoyev killed the 33-year-old Nasima S. from Khatlon’s Khuroson district in the night of August 22-23 and threw her body into the Dushanbe River,” the source said.
As it had been reported earlier, the body of young woman with signs of violent death was found in the Dushanbinka River near the state-run publishing house, Sharqi Ozod, on August 23. She was indentified as the 33-year-old Nasima S. from the Khuroson district.
