DUSHANBE, February 23, 2011, Asia-Plus -- A 15-year-old girl has been detained with narcotics in Dushanbe.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), a raid made by police on February 22 led to the arrest of the 15-year-old K.D. on suspicion of drug pushing. 4 grams of cannabis and 0.7 gram of hashish were confiscated from her.
The girl said she had bought narcotic drug from Dushanbe resident A.B. When searching his apartment, police officers found 214 grams of hemp. The alleged drug peddler was also arrested, the source said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them and an investigation is under way. Teenagers usually act as mediators between drug peddlers and drug buyers, the source added.
