DUSHANBE, August 30, 2012, Asia-Plus -- On Wednesday August 29, Ambassador Ismatullo Nasriddinov, new Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the Organization for Security and Cooperation and Europe (OSCE) and other International Organizations in Vienna, presented credentials to the OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the OSCE, including identity and passport service projects.
On the same day, Nasriddinov met in Vienna with Ambassador Tibor Toth, Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).
The CTBTO is the international organization tasked with promoting and monitoring compliance with the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), which bans all nuclear explosions.
Nasriddinov presented credentials to Ambassador Toth as well. In the course of the talks, Ambassador Toth reportedly noted that researchers from Tajikistan’s National Academy of Sciences could participate in workshops conducted by CTBTO.
