DUSHANBE, January 14, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Tajik Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimov yesterday met here with Afghan Ambassador to Tajikistan Abdul Ghafour Arzu.
According to the Interior Ministry’s official website, the sides discussed issues related to the crime prevention cooperation.
In the course of the talks, Tajik minister reportedly noted that a draft agreement on cooperation between the interior ministries of the two countries had already been prepared and expressed confidence that the signing of the agreement would make bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan in combating crime more efficient.
The sides also pointed to the necessity of establishing closer cooperation in combating terrorism, extremism, and trafficking in drugs and weapons, the Interior Ministry’s website said.
