Now to defend doctoral in political science will be possible without having to travel outside of Tajikistan.

The opening of the Dissertation Council for doctoral dissertations in political science was held at the Institute of philosophy, political science and law named after A. Bahovaddinov.

Dissertation Council for doctoral dissertations in political science approved by the resolution No. 16/337 of the Higher attestation Commission of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation.

The Council is empowered to accept doctoral and candidate's theses in the following areas: - 23.00.01 Theory and political philosophy, political science, history and methodology and - 23.00.04 Political problems of international relations, global and regional development.

At the opening of the Council has been noted that so far in the Republic of Tajikistan it was not possible to train specialists in these fields. There are very few specialists in our Republic, who have academic titles in the abovementioned areas of political science.

As it was noted by the Chairman of the Dissertation Council, Director of the Institute of philosophy, political science and law of the Academy of Sciences, doctor of political Sciences, Professor Abdurahmon Muhammad, 19 domestic and foreign scientists have been attracted to the work of the Dissertation Council and this "allows to evaluate the proposed dissertation on competition of scientific degrees in relevant fields at a high scientific level".

It was noted that the main reason for the lack of specialists in international politics, the study of global and regional development processes, the theory and political philosophy, history and methodology of political science is the lack of an appropriate Dissertation Council. Institute of philosophy, political science and law has for many years consistently made many efforts to solve this problem.

"Now with the opening of the Dissertation Council we can more effectively address the issues of providing highly qualified specialists of the national scientific institutions, education, government agencies, etc.," - said Abdurahmon Muhammad.
