A two-day “Winter Handicraft Fair” concluded at the Ismaili Center of Dushanbe on December 17.

Over 100 craftsmen coming from different regions and corners of Tajikistan presented the attendees the fruits of their creative skills.

In the pavilions, guests found out: wood products, ceramics paintings, wicker baskets, items with national embroidery (gulduzi, zarduzi), and modern clothes made in the national style, jewelry, leather goods, souvenirs and much more.

The program of the fair also included master classes and fashion shows from the "Fashion Jivj" national brand’s designer – Nafisa Imranova.

The event was organized by the Union of Craftsmen of Tajikistan and was carried out within the framework of the project «Networking Intermediaries & Competitive Enterprises in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan» (NICE-TAK), funded by the European Union and co-funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The project is implemented by an international consortium led by Sequa gGmbH (Germany), and including: International NGO CESVI (Italy) in Tajikistan, National Association of Small and Medium Businesses of Tajikistan (NASMB), Bishkek Business Club (BBC), National Association of Business Women of Tajikistan (NABWT) and Union of Craftsmen of Tajikistan (UCT).
