DUSHANBE, March 6, Asia-Plus  -- On Friday March 3, ceremony of presentation of awards to winners of the film contest “Borgohi Sukhan” (Palace of Word) was held at Dom Kino (House of Cinema) in Dushanbe.  

Several documentaries and feature films directed by Tajik cinematographers have appeared at the “Borgohi Sukhan” film contest.   

As it was reported earlier, the “Borgohi Sukhan” Cultural Foundation dealing with supporting artistes in Tajikistan had organized this contest. 

Nozim Qosimov, Chairman of the “Borgohi Sukhan” Cultural Foundation, has told Asia-Plus that the award for the best film, – US$1000 in prize money and certificate – was handed over to director Safar Haqdodov, who made a documentary film about the known Tajik thinker and philosopher Nosir Khusrav.  Safar Haqdodov called his film “The Holy Customs on the holy Land”.  The film is dedicated to the 1000 th anniversary of Nosir Khusrav and tells religious and folk customs of inhabitants of Gorno Badakhshan.   

Besides, encouraging award of the “Borgohi Sukhan” Foundation was handed over to young Tajik actor Alijon Shokirov for roles performed in “Ovora” and “Behzod” movies.  

The “Borgohi Sukhan” top manager has also told Asia-Plus that they are ready to undertake to help the young actor and provide thorough assistance in development of his creative career.  

The source in the Cultural Foundation has told Asia-Plus that such contests were held among Tajik theatrical troupes as well.
