The conference is staged by the “Arts and Culture” Program of the Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF) in cooperation with the Center “Culturology” (Culture Studies), established in 2005 under support of the “Arts and Culture” Program, and Tajikistan’s Center for Strategic Studies.

Participants at the meting are also supposed to discuss issues of globalization and problems of musical culture, preservation of arts and written heritage, cultures of ethnic minorities, etc.
On results of the conference a collection of articles will be published for further distribution to the country’s higher educational institutions and public libraries.
