Three new books published under support of Soros Foundation presented in Dushanbe Friday

, June 23, Asia-Plus - An official presentation of three books published under support of the Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (TB OSI/AF) was held in
Dushanbe
on June 23.
According to information from the TB OSI/AF Dushanbe Office, one of these book is the 14
th
volume of the complete works by Sadriddin Ayni. This book entitled “Intellectual Revolution in
Bukhara
” has been published with circulation of a 1,000. This project was drafted by the Literary Sadriddin Ayni Foundation. For the first time, this work by Sadriddin Ayni was published in Arabic script in
Iran
in 2003.
The second book presented in
Dushanbe
today is the reproduction of Explanatory Dictionary of Arabic Words, which was compiled by known medieval scholar Abdurrashid Tattavi in
India
in 1637. The book has circulation of a five hundred.
The third book is an anthology of Tajik-Persian poetry of the 20
th
century “Bayozi Mehr”. The book contains works of 140 poets from
Tajikistan
,
Iran
,
Afghanistan
and
Pakistan
.
