DUSHANBE, October 1, Asia-Plus -- The first issue of popular science magazine Farhang va Hunar (Culture and Art) has been brought out in the Tajik capital.
Rukhshona Olimova, media program coordinator, Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF), said that the magazine was published under support of the TB-OSI/AF “Arts and Culture and Art” Program.
The magazine covers in easy form materials about history of culture of the Tajik people, the most important stages of development of art and craftsmanship in the country, as well as film, photo and ethnographic materials.
The founder of the magazine is the Farhang va Hunar Public Association and the editor-in-chief of of the Farhnag va Hunar magazine is Jelmat Shermatov, director of the Research Institute for Culture and Infroamtion.
The main objective of the TB-OSI/AF “Arts and Culture” Program is to support development of culture in Tajikistan, imrovement of legal foundation in the field of culture and imrovement of prfessionalism of specialists in arts and culture.
