, January 27, Asia-Plus - An ecological action dubbed “2006 Riverbanks’ Cleanness” will be held in
Dushanbe
from February 4 to March 6, Abduvohid Karimov, Chairman of the Committee for Forestry and Environmental Protection, announced at a news conference in
Dushanbe
on January 26.
According to him, the action is staged by the Committee will be held in Tajik capital and nearby districts. Karimov told journalists the actions is aiming to clear banks of the rivers of Kofarnihon and Varzob, as well as the Big Hissor Canal. “We also plan to carry such action on the Syrdarya River in Sughd Province as well,” Karimov said.
