DUSHANBE, February 14, Asia-Plus -- A presentation of a book by known Kyrgyz writer Salima Sharipova, who is member of Kyrgyz and Tajik Writers’ Unions, will be held in the building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) in Dushanbe today afternoon.
Colonel Oleg Pilkevich, deputy head of Tajik “Tsentrospas” (rescue team), has told Asia-Plus that this book entitled “On That bank of Panj” tells culture and life of Afghan people as well as activity of emergency services on supply of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan via Tajik territory.
Ms. Salima Sharipova in 2002 took part in humanitarian operation on supplying aid provided by the World Food Program (WFP) to Afghanistan. This humanitarian operation was carried out by emergency services of Tajikistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
Tajik Emergencies Minister Mirzo Ziyoyev is expected to attend the book-presenting ceremony.
