DUSHANBE, July 25, Asia-Plus -- Over the first six months of this year, courts in Tajikistan have recovered more than 2.951 million in forms of state duties, fines, and confiscation of properties, which is 985,000 Somonis more compared to the same period of 2005, Nusratullo Abdulloyev, Chairman of Tajikistan’s Council of Judges, announced at a news conference in Dushanbe on July 24.    

According to him, economic courts in the country have considered 687 appeals over the same six-month period against 634 appeals considered in January-June 2005.  Following the courts’ rulings 1,432,891 Somonis have been recovered, which is 642,300 Somonis more than last year.   

Mr. Abdulloyev noted that a number of various civil and economic appeals lodged the country’s courts over the past six months has also increase, “which is evidence of increase in population’s trust in the country’s judicial system.”
