DUSHANBE, October 27, Asia-Plus -- A 26-story complex entitled Burji Sulh (Tower of Peace) will be constructed on Nemat Qaraboyev Street in Dushanbe, the Tajik ambassador to Iran, Ramazon Mirzoyev, told journalists in Dushanbe yesterday.
According to him, planning for the project is nearly complete and construction is expected to begin in December.
The first seven floors of the complex, with overall space of 63,000 square meters, will house offices, conference rooms and shops. The other 16 floors will be apartments and the 25th floor will house a revolving restaurant, according to Mirzoyev.
”The complex will be built with a crown and a bridge next to the building, symbolizing a government that unites people and marks peace on Tajik soil,” the ambassador said.
Mirzoyev also noted that the building will have a two-story garage for 600 cars.
A Tajik-Iranian joint venture, Somon Sabo, will construct the building. The estimated budget for the project is US $30 million to $35 million, he said. The Burji Sulh complex is expected to be finished in three years.
